I wish this response (and the fabric in IRS Pub 550) coated a liquidated funds industry fund as opposed to a liquidated Company, in my case Schwab PA muni fund SWEXX that liquidated in 2017. The 2 circumstances are comparable although not identical. My foundation within the fund is my Preliminary in
